If you're a Pokemon fan, then you've got a brand new reason to rejoice. A new Pokemon Presents showcase has been announced for next week to mark the upcoming Pokemon Day, and it'll feature information about all the latest Pokemon projects we can look forward to in the coming months.

This news was announced via the official Pokemon Twitter account, which invites you to check out the official Pokemon YouTube channel on February 27th (that's next Monday) at 6am Pacific time. There, you'll find "about 20 minutes of exciting Pokemon news" in celebration of Pokemon Day, which marks the date on which the first Pokemon games were originally released in Japan.

Of course, we don't yet know what kind of Pokemon announcements we could be getting on Monday. Nintendo and The Pokemon Company are keeping their cards very close to their chests, which makes sense given that Pokemon is still one of the highest-grossing media franchises in the world.

Terastallized versions of Slowking and Dragonite fighting one another in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which could figure into next week's Pokemon Presents
Could we get a Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC announcement in next week's Pokemon Presents? Let's hope so.

Pokemon Presents showcases are usually an arena for some pretty big announcements, so we can expect something substantial, at least. 2020's Pokemon Presents streams revealed the existence of New Pokemon Snap and MOBA Pokemon Unite, while 2021's showcase gave us our first glimpses at Pokemon Legends: Arceus and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. Lots more info about both games followed in a stream later that year, too.

So, what could be announced during this upcoming Pokemon Presents? Well, don't be surprised if we get a look at more content coming to Pokemon Go, as well as games like Pokemon Unite and Pokemon Cafe Remix. A DLC announcement for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet would be nice; updates and bug fixes are all well and good, but I'd like some more content to sink my teeth into. Maybe a few curveballs in the form of completely new games, too? Let's hope so.

The next Pokemon Presents showcase airs via the official Pokemon YouTube channel on Monday, February 27th at 6am Pacific (that's 9am Eastern). Stay tuned to TechRaptor for all the news and announcements from that showcase.
