PQube and VEWO Interactive Inc have just announced Nexomon: Extinction, a classic monster catching-inspired game, is coming to consoles and PC this summer.

In the world of Nexomon: Extinction, players will complete a brand new storyline where the world of Nexomon is under threat. Tyrant Nexomon fight over the dominion over humans and monsters alike, which has left chaos and devastation in its wake.

To fight this, players will leave their orphanage and choose their first Nexomon. Once done, they will set out on their journey to become a master tamer will meeting "a vibrant cast of characters". Players will also complete side-quests, explore the world of Nexomon, and help save it from extinction. Players will also have a "lighthearted companion who doesn't take himself too seriously," which honestly sounds more of a threat than anything else.

Over 300 Nexomon can be caught, of which they are separated into eleven elemental types with special evolutions. They will be found in arid deserts, sprawling forests, and freezing tundras, all of which hide secrets and will have a "special effect" on monsters.

Nexomon: Extinction will arrive on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam later this summer. If you're curious as to what the game is all about, check the Steam page for both this title and the last title that's still in Early Access on Steam. We reached out to the developer for more information about how this impacts the original Nexomon and will update when we learn more.

What do you think of this news? Are you interested in a new Pokemon clone? Do you think that it's a little too early for a sequel to Nexomon when it isn't out of Early Access yet? Let us know in the comments!
