Pokemon Direct 2019 Conferences Airing On May 28 And June 5

The Pokemon Company has just announced the dates and times for two Pokemon announcement events streaming from Tokyo, Japan. The first one will be tomorrow, May 28, at 9PM EST. It's expected to cover a number of topics of interest to Pokemon fans, including the previously teased other Pokemon game that is in the works other than Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. Then, on June 5, there will be a Pokemon Direct press conference at the same time dedicated exclusively to the upcoming Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield games for 15 minutes. The announcement of two exclusive Pokemon press conferences seems aimed at cleaning up some extra space for the Nintendo E3 Direct, which should happen on June 11, as well as following the longstanding tradition of Pokemon having its own space.

The Pokemon Direct on June 5 will cover the second set of mainline Pokemon games on the Nintendo Switch, Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, which will introduce the Generation 8 of Pokemon. First announced at the Pokemon Direct last February, it will take place in the Galar region with a very diverse variety of environments that appear to be analogous to some of the United Kingdom. Galar is an industrial region with big cities where humans and Pokemon work together. It looks like June 5 will bring a lot more details about these two upcoming games, which are still slated for a 2019 release on the Nintendo Switch.

You can see the original announcement trailer from February below while you wait for a new trailer or teaser with more information coming on June 5. You might also want to check the official website for these two upcoming Pokemon games.
