Playtonic Friends has announced that it will be publishing A Little Golf Journey, the latest sports sim from OK Golf developer Okidokico. Billed as a golf game that's "a whole lot more relaxing" than regular golf games, A Little Golf Journey is coming to PC and Switch later this summer.
What do we know about A Little Golf Journey?
A rather charming press release from Playtonic Friends, the publishing arm of Yooka-Laylee developer Playtonic, describes A Little Golf Journey as "a journey of relaxation". According to Playtonic, it's an "anti Souls-like", inviting players to step away from pressure and frustration and just while away a few hours playing some chilled-out golf. Most intriguingly, there will also be a narrative layer if you want to get that deep into things. You can check out the reveal trailer for A Little Golf Journey below.
A Little Golf Journey comes from feedback Okidokico received from OK Golf players. Many of the fans of that game said it was a relaxing experience, so the devs decided to lean hard into that aspect for the followup. Everything "stressful" about traditional golf has been removed, making for a much more easygoing game designed to help you escape from the pressures of daily life. If you're feeling anxious or upset about how things are going in the world right now (and we empathize fully if you do), then A Little Golf Journey sounds like it might well be the game for you.
Okidokico's newest golf adventure launches for PC and Nintendo Switch later this year. We don't have a concrete release date for the game just yet, unfortunately, but we'll let you know as soon as we know more about it. In the meantime, you can wishlist A Little Golf Journey on Steam, and you can check out the game's official website to keep up with news.
