On the PlayStation Blog Andrew House, President and Global CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment, stated that he knows that an October release was later than they were originally planning but wanted to thank everyone for their continued patience and support.
No controllers, Dualshock 4 or PlayStation Move will be included in the PlayStation VR package. You will also need to purchase your own PlayStation camera in order to use the PlayStation VR which will likely run you around $50. An image has also been released showing all that will be included in the package for the PlayStation VR:
More than 230 companies are currently working on PlayStation VR titles including Atlus, ARC System Works, Bandai Namco, Capcom, From Software, Idea Factory, Koei Tecmo, Konami, Spike Chunsoft, Square Enix, 2k Games, Devolver Digital, Double Fine, Electronic Arts, 505 Games, Ninja Theory, Techland and Ubisoft. Crytek, Epic Games, and Unity Technologies are also working on tools for the platform.

All adopters of PlayStation VR will also be able to download The Playroom VR from the store at launch. This application will include six games that can be played alone or with friends to show off various aspects of the PlayStation VR. One of the games included in The Playroom require the player with the VR headset to chase after four players who are using controllers while also writhing their head around to smash buildings.
A variety of PlayStation VR games were announced today in the form of Tumble VR a puzzle game where you will need to use shape in a virtual environment to accomplish goals like making a bridge or creating a tower. This is a VR sequel of the original Tumble for Playstation 3 by SuperMassive Games. As well as new levels and visuals for the VR edition of the game using the Social Screen feature a second player without the VR headset can also play with the VR user.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69XFqRfzl_k
Another game announced today is called PlayStation VR Worlds and combines five different experiences to show off the power of the PlayStation VR. These experiences include a London heist, an underwater rollercoaster, a VR luge simulation, A 3D pong game called Danger Ball, and Scavenger's Odyssey a sci-fi adventure that will have you soaring through the cosmos.
Star Wars Battlefront will also be getting a virtual reality gaming experience that will only be available on the PlayStation VR. No further information has yet to be revealed on what this gaming experience will be at this point in time. New screenshots for SuperMassives' other VR project Until Dawn: Rush of Blood have also been released showing not only a creepy nurse but also the return of the masked man from the original game. Rush of Blood is a VR rollercoaster game that was announced earlier this year.

It has also been confirmed that there will be a theater mode with a re-sizable screen so that you can use it to play non-VR PlayStation 4 titles. This would mean that instead of needing to play your games on your TV you could set up a virtual screen that would have the regular video output of your PlayStation 4 on it. There is no confirmation yet whether you will be able to play 3D enabled games and movies using the PlayStation VR as you would through the use of a 3D television.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lulzi9LmNSM
What do you think of the price point of the PlayStation VR? Which game are you most excited for? If there was one game that got a VR conversion what would you want it to be?
