An unspecified issue has seen the PlayStation Plus July 2019 games changed. The games for this month were previously announced to be Horizon Chase Turbo and Pro Evolution Soccer 2019. Unfortunately, Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 has been removed and replaced with Detroit: Become Human (or other games depending on your country).
As stated on the PlayStation Blog, the PlayStation Plus July 2019 games changed. Horizon Chase Turbo will still be part of the package, but Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 is being supplanted by Detroit: Become Human in most cases. Furthermore, this will be the deluxe version of the game that will also include Heavy Rain as part of the package. However, some countries will be getting a different game as noted in the EU version of the same announcement.
Detroit: Become Human will be replaced by the Playlink using Hidden Agenda in Kuwait as the former title is not available for purchase in that country. Heavy Rain, meanwhile, is unavailable in several countries and will be replaced with Beyond Two Souls. The countries for this latter scenario are Bahrain, Lebanon, Oman Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
The PlayStation team included a brief statement addressing the change in the blog post:
We are making a swap to the PS Plus games lineup for July. This month, we are adding Detroit: Become Human Digital Deluxe Edition, which also includes Heavy Rain, to the July games lineup instead of Pro Evolution Soccer 2019. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Whatever the actual reason may be, it seems that PlayStation Plus subscribers will no longer be getting Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 as they had originally hoped. Still, getting a different game (or two, in the case of pretty much every country except Kuwait) is not that bad of a deal. Both of these games will be available from July 2, 2019–August 5, 2019.
