Sony has updated their blog with the upcoming PlayStation Plus games for October.

On the blog, Greg Lewickyj mentions that October is all about the Halloween spirit! As such, the first game in October is the Resident Evil HD Remaster. The popular horror game from Capcom will hopefully get people interested in the series. With Resident Evil VII around the corner, Lewickyj mentions that the remaster is a great way to get into the series. However, he says it's a good way to celebrate the holiday in general as well. Check out our review to find out more on the remaster.

The other PlayStation Plus free game coming to the PlayStation 4 is Transformers: Devastation. The action title contains loads of customization! This includes weapons, stat boosters and more. Of course, being from Platinum Games, Lewickyj lets people know that the game has a great combat system to enjoy. If you want to learn more about it, check out our review of the game.

These games will be available Tuesday, October 4th. That is also when September's games will rotate out.

Quick Take

I've played both PS4 titles from this month, so I must say I highly recommend both! Resident Evil is one of my favorite series and this entry is my favorite one. Transformers: Devastation might not be as good as Bayonetta, but it's still a solid game worth checking out.
