November is coming, and Sony has announced the free titles for Playstation Plus members. There's a nice selection coming to the PS4, Ps3, and PS Vita.
The Walking Dead: Season 2 will be coming to Playstation 4. The second season of Telltale's episodic game based on The Walking Dead comics involves the continuation of Clementine's adventure through post-apocalyptic America. Techraptor reviewed The Walking Dead: Season 2 finding it solid but not matching The Walking Dead: Season 1.
Magicka 2 will also be available for Playstation 4. This is a sequel to the spell-slinging slaughterfest known as Magicka (but by a different developer) where players can combine different elements to make interesting and unique spells for use on friend and foe alike.
Mass Effect 2 will be coming to Playstation 3. This title was generally viewed as an improvement over the first Mass Effect; it changed some contentious elements such as the frustrating "eternal elevators" that were disguised loading screens. Techraptor's Andrew Otton had some thoughts regarding Mass Effect 2 and player choice. It also moved the franchise more towards a shooter, a move that while improving gunplay was contentious in some circles
Beyond Good & Evil is going to be another title for Playstation 3. This game is regarded as a sleeper hit - it was well-received by those who played it, but it sold poorly during its initial release at the end of 2003. A sequel has been teased multiple times over the last few years, but there has not yet been anything of substance released beyond a few teaser trailer cutscenes, possibly due to the poor sales the original had.
Dragon Fin Soup is a tactical RPG that launches on November 3rd and will be available on the PS4, PS Vita, and PS3 Cross-Buy when available. It's a mix of tactical, RPG, and roguelike elements all wrapped up into one package. Much like Rocket League the game is hoping to use Playstation Plus to help get some notice from players, and will also be available on PC via Steam when it launches.
Lastly, Invizimals will be up for grabs on the PS Vita. Invizimals is a monster fighting game similar to Pokémon or Digimon that uses the PS Vita's camera for an augmented-reality experience. Players have to use the camera to track down creatures and capture them based on what the camera sees in the real world.
That's it for this November's free games for Playstation Plus members!
