Sony has officially announced the PlayStation Plus August 2022 catalog lineup, and it seems that we are in for a real treat this month. Players who have either PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium will be able to enjoy a few great titles coming to the console on August 16, 2022.

PlayStation Plus members have a lot of content that is consistently being released, leaving plenty of room for trying out new games and finding their favorite month by month. This August is no different than the last few catalog releases, as there are plenty of essential new titles for players to try out.

Dead by Daylight will be released with this slew of games this month, where players will choose whether they want to be a ruthless killer or one of four characters trying to survive and escape the said killer. Each one of the playable characters comes with plenty of unlockables as well as their own deep progression system in order to keep things fresh. This is a 1v4 multiplayer game, so you can work together to outsmart and outplay the killer, or hunt down the group of survivors as prey in the dead of night. The choice is yours.

Another interesting title to be released is Bugsnax, which looks absolutely darling. Players will take on the life of an investigative journalist who has begun exploring the uncharted Snaktooth Island, which just so happens to be inhabited by the cutest of bug-snack hybrid creatures. There is a whopping total of 100 creatures to collect, so definitely enough to keep you on your toes at all times in hopes of obtaining each big-eyed critter as you traverse the lands.

The classic 3D remake of the 1995 game Seiken Densetsu 3 that was released in Japan, which is now called Trials of Mana, will finally be available to PlayStation Plus members, though it was originally released in 2020. The game is almost an exact copy of the original, minus the new and improved graphics to keep up with the times of course. Players will begin their journey with a very important choice to make -- will you choose light? Or will you choose darkness? Players are able to change their character classes as they so please within the new class change system, giving a huge boost to the character customization available within the remade version.

There are plenty more exciting games to choose from this month for those with PlayStation Plus memberships. To see the entire list, check out the PlayStation blog post.
