Play As The Rest Of The Guys With Final Fantasy XV's 1.20 Update

Final Fantasy XV has now been out for over a year, passing that milestone a little over two weeks ago, but Square Enix shows no intention of slowing down development. As well as a future mobile and console release, future paid DLC plans, and more content coming out on the 13th of December, Square Enix is still giving new experiences to those who own only the base game.

From launch, playing through the story mode in Final Fantasy XV has only allowed you to take control of Prince Noctis, heir to the throne of Lucis. On his journey, you were accompanied by Ignis, Gladio, and Prompto, who are not only your best friends but those tasked with protecting you. While we've had chances to play as Prompto and Gladio in either of their DLC Episodes, and we'll have a chance with Ignis when his episode releases this month, fans have always wanted the ability to choose who they play as during the proper story mode. With the 1.20 update to Final Fantasy XV, at any point, as long as you have that party member present, players will be able to swap between Noctis, Ignis, Prompto, and Gladio at will.

That isn't the only change that has arrived with the 1.20 update as the changelogs also include that there is added music from the Comrades Multiplayer Expansion and Episode Ignis that is now available to listen to in Story Mode, and that there will be increased compatibility with the Episode Ignis DLC, which launches on the 13th. Further DLC that fans can look forward to include Episode Ardyn, focusing on the antagonist of the game, and two other Episodes for yet unknown characters over 2018.

Are you excited for the new Final Fantasy XV update? Which of the characters are you planning on taking for a spin first? Are you going to practise some of Ignis' moves before hopping into his episode tomorrow?
