Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville has been announced and it also got a pretty decent gameplay reveal. This newest game in the PvZ franchise looks to mix the gameplay up even more than Garden Warfare did a few years back.
Plants vs. Zombies: Battle For Neighborville Release Date
According to @renka_schedule on Twitter, Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is going to be launching in Japan on October 18, 2019, at a price of ¥4,200. That comes out to about $39.99 for the US, £32.99 for the UK, and €35.99 for the European Union, meaning that this definitely isn't a premium title. However, today's reveal has shown that it's actually available for purchase right now! U.S. users can get their hands on the game's Founder's Edition at a special price of $29.99, a roughly 25% discount off of what will probably be a retail price of $39.99 going by the information from the Japanese release.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville First Look
An official trailer was finally revealed a few weeks after a different one was leaked online.Players work together as an "unstoppable unit" as they move through Neighborville in a third-person shooter style of gameplay. Each player can play by themselves, or they can combine together like a Megazord as they smash up zombies. (No, really.) There won't just be PvE gameplay, though! Battle for Neighborville will also feature PvP gameplay with up to 24 players in one match. In both cases, you'll have the option to choose from one of four different classes, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.
You will be able to explore the world of Neighborville using various vehicles (or just by walking) in the free roam mode. You can see all of this in motion and more in the official gameplay trailer above.
Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville seems like a pretty good take on the PvZ formula. If it seems like your kind of jam, you can get in on the Founder's Edition right now over at the game's website for PC, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
