Miju Games has announced the release date for The Planet Crafter's upcoming Planet Humble DLC, and it won't be long before you and your buddies can explore a whole new planet together.
During today's Convergence Showcase, Miju revealed that Planet Humble will launch on October 9th. It'll be the first piece of paid DLC released for the game, although it has received a number of updates since its initial launch.
As the name suggests, Planet Humble brings an entirely new planet for you (and, optionally, your friends) to explore and terraform. It'll have a whole new story and set of secrets to discover, so even if you think you've rinsed The Planet Crafter, there should be plenty here for you.
Excitingly, you'll only need one copy of Planet Humble in order to play alongside your friends. Miju says that you can play co-op alongside your buddies with just one copy of the DLC, so everyone doesn't need to buy it before jumping in.
That, says Miju, is why the DLC is "priced low", and why "only the host needs to own it"; the studio says it wants to "keep things fair and fun" in the world of The Planet Crafter, which is a pretty admirable goal.
The studio says the DLC will offer around 20 hours of gameplay and will feature a planet roughly "half the size of the original", and you'll discover an abandoned attempt to colonize said planet, as well as "megacorporations' role in its disaster".

If you're not familiar with The Planet Crafter, it's a terraforming-focused survival game in which you must explore a hostile planet, survive its dangers, and terraform it so that it's suitable as a home for humanity.
The game features all kinds of systems and mechanics, including base-building, resource gathering, and machine crafting, all of which you'll need to utilize if you want to survive. The mix has proven pretty popular; The Planet Crafter had racked up a million sales at last count, and it's not done yet.
You can grab The Planet Crafter right now on PC via Steam. Its Planet Humble DLC will launch on October 9th and will set you back just $7.99.
