The Planet Coaster Thememaker's Toolkit will be arriving in just a few days according to a news post on the game's Steam Community page.

Planet Coaster is a theme park tycoon with some incredibly pretty graphics. We reviewed the game at its launch and found that it did a lot of things right for fans of its spiritual predecessor RollerCoaster Tycoon. Since then, Frontier Developments has been releasing both paid and free DLC several times a year.

The extras for the game are set to expand with a different sort of downloadable content. The Planet Coaster Thememaker's Toolkit is essentially a system that allows you to import 3D models made in Maya, Blender, and 3D Studio into the game proper. While the game already had a robust amount of modding potential (and plenty of choices on the Steam Workshop), this additional tool should make for even greater possibilities thanks to the hard work of hobbyist modelers.

Working with 3D models is a bit of a complicated affair. As such, the Planet Coaster Thememaker's Toolkit has a respectably-sized manual [PDF] that details all of the inner workings of the program. People making models with the intention of adding them to the game must already be pretty technically-savvy, so a simple 28-page manual will probably seem like a relief when compared to the intricacies of Maya or Blender.

Frontier Developments will be live-streaming a "deep dive" of the Planet Coaster Thememaker's Toolkit on November 21 at 2:00 PM Eastern on the game's YouTube channel. If you'd like to get to modding and you don't yet own Planet Coaster, you can grab the base game and its DLC on Steam and the Humble Store. The Thememaker's Toolkit goes live on November 20, 2018.
