The Teardown release date has just been revealed for April 21, 2022, and with it, players will be able to plot out their heists in the popular physics destruction simulator. With over 35,000 reviews at the 96% 'Overwhelmingly Positive' score, lots of players have been doing just that since the initial Teardown release date on Steam's Early Access program back in October 2020.
For those who don't know, Teardown is a voxel adventure where players can live out their destructive fantasies. What do I mean by this? Well, you'll be able to use sledgehammers, vehicles, blow torch, fire extinguishers, guns, explosives, and more as a struggling owner of a demolition company. You'll initially start off the 40-mission campaign with mostly harmless jobs before you take riskier jobs that will require perfectly executed problem solving and planning. This means you'll be blowing up safes, stealing cars, and ransacking buildings as you solve the puzzle that each level represents.
Teardown also includes 100% fully destructible and interactive environments, so you'll be able to move, manipulate, and smash obstacles in order to finish your jobs, which can range from tropical islands to working around a raging volcano.
If this sounds interesting to you, Teardown 1.0 will be launching for $19.99 on Steam in just a few weeks. That's the same price as it currently is now, so it might make sense to wait for the full Teardown release date before you hop in.
