A Plague Tale Requiem Release Date Revealed Leak Microsoft Store cover

It appears that the A Plague Tale: Requiem release date has slipped out a bit early on the Microsoft Store -- you can look forward to this game arriving in June 2022.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is the upcoming sequel to 2019's A Plague Tale: Innocence from Asobo Studio and Focus Home Interactive, a fairly solid game that features a dark atmosphere and engaging storyline. A sequel was announced at E3 2021 and has a lot of potential to expand on the mechanics and story of the original.

This sequel continues the adventures of Amicia and Hugo as they travel further south, escaping the plague-filled hellscape of Paris. While Hugo's curse still proves to be a problem, Amicia is as capable as ever. As before, you'll have to make hard choices in your quest to survive an unforgiving world.

Until recently, all we knew about this upcoming game was that it was expected to arrive sometime this year. Now, a thread on ResetEra reports that the A Plague Tale: Requiem release date appears to have been silently added to the game pages on the Microsoft Store. Best of all, you won't have to wait too long to play it -- it's going to be out in less than three months.

When is the A Plague Tale: Requiem Release Date?

The A Plague Tale: Requiem release date is June 17, 2022, according to the game's page on the Microsoft Store.

Interestingly, the Steam API release date (which was revealed earlier this month) still shows the placeholder date of December 30, 2022. However, there was a recent unlisted change to the game roughly 8 hours ago that is currently hidden, so this might reflect the new release date change somehow.

For now, there's still a few months to go before you can play A Plague Tale: Requiem. You can add the game to your wishlist on Steam. While you're waiting, you can buy the first game A Plague Tale: Innocence for PC via Steam starting at $39.99 or your regional equivalent.
