Quadro Delta announced yesterday via Pixel Piracy's Steam page that their popular open world pirate game, Pixel Piracy, would be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4. In Pixel Piracy you get to live out your wildest dreams of being a pirate captain with all the responsibilities of getting a crew, customizing your ship and then setting sail across the sea in search of gold and glory. Pixel Piracy was originally released on Steam Early Access way back in 2014 and has since had plenty of upgrades like language support, full tutorial, and even A.I rebuilt from the ground up.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NwTQzJiaaI The console port of Pixel Piracy was done through a collaboration of the development teams at Quadro Delta, Re-Logic (Terraria) and Abstraction Games. Abstraction Games is a company that specializes in helping other developers port their games to different devices. Console players also don't need to worry about any features lacking in the console release as it will be completely up to the PC version. The UI has had a complete redesign for console so that even with a controller you will be able to easily do anything you could on PC.
In anticipation for this release there is also a brand new website for the game showing off new screenshots and footage from the console release. The forums for the game have also been updated giving the console editions of the game their own areas so that people have a place to discuss the game pre and post release. This news comes on the heels of the recent announcement of an upcoming Patch and an update on the health of Alex Poysky - one of the key leads at Quadro Delta.
Pixel Piracy will be releasing for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 on the 16th of February. Both editions of the game will be available for $14.99.
