During the Upload VR Showcase, Cloudhead Games announced quite a bit of information coming to Pistol Whip. The biggest news is that Pistol Whip will be making its way to PlayStation VR on July 28th of this year. Beyond that, they talked about content plans for the rest of the year.

First, the next chunk of content will be coming in August, entitled the Heartbreaker Trilogy. It will have two new modifiers to contend with, and three new scenes for you to make your way through.

With Heartbreaker, Cloudhead said they are going for a more chilled out experience inspired by music and rhythm games. One the specifically mentioned was Sayonara Wild Hearts. They said to expect the scenes to be highly musical, and one would expect they will try to match that music with the action on the screen.

Towards the end of the year, Cloudhead said there is another big content package coming to Pistol Whip. They didn't go into many details, but it will be called The Concierge. It will have new enemies, scenes, and more, but most of all they are promising a cinematic campaign for you to experience.

If you're unfamiliar with Pistol Whip, it's a game inspired by action movies like John Wick. It's all about blasting your way through enemies at breakneck speeds. It's full of scenes from bank heists to android uprisings, and you can take a lot of different approaches to the gameplay. Want to be John Wick, then you can definitely take that approach. Want to be slow methodical, and tactical? Well, that's an option too.

Again, Pistol Whip will be on PlayStation VR on July 28th and the Heartbreaker Trilogy will be coming in August, with Heartbreaker coming to PlayStation VR later. Stay tuned for more information on The Concierge.
