2K has announced the release date for its upcoming golfing sim PGA Tour 2K25, as well as some of the new content you can expect if you pick it up.

Per an official announcement post, the game, which will serve as a rival to EA Sports PGA Tour, will launch across PC and consoles on February 28th, offering new licensed tournaments, new courses, and much more.

First up, PGA Tour 2K25 will be the first game in its series to offer the chance to compete in the PGA Championship, the US Open, and the British Open, which is the oldest golfing tournament in the world.

PGA Tour 2K25 will bring plenty of new features with it in February.

As well as these new tournaments, PGA Tour 2K25 will also bring "several franchise advancements" on the gameplay front, including new shot types, improved physics, and better visuals.

You can expect "the most immersive and customizable MyCareer experience to date", according to 2K, as well as "a diverse suite of creation tools" to help you craft the perfect golfer.

Pro players available at launch include the likes of Tiger Woods, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Justin Thomas, while on the women's golfing side, you can expect players like Lydia Ko, Brooke Henderson, and more.

New courses include the 2025 US Open at Oakmont Country Club, the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club, and more. Extra courses will be added after launch, and 2K says they will remain free to all players, although you can bet this one will likely be aggressively monetized elsewhere like other 2K games.

Naturally, PGA Tour 2K25 will also feature online multiplayer modes, as well as cross-platform Societies so that you can challenge your friends on various different platforms.

PGA Tour 2K25 launches for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 28th. Guess you'll have to choose whether to play this one or Monster Hunter Wilds on your inevitable day off.
