Atlus has announced that the upcoming Persona 5 Royal Xbox and Windows Store releases will have all previously-released DLC included with them. Curiously, the developer doesn't make any mention of the PS5 or Steam versions of the game.

What DLC will be included with the Persona 5 Royal Xbox and Windows versions?

During the Xbox and Bethesda showcase a couple of weeks ago, Xbox announced that Persona 5 Royal, along with two other Persona games, will make its way to Xbox and Windows Store later this year, and will be available via Xbox Game Pass. Now, developer Atlus has revealed (note: link in Japanese) that the upcoming Persona 5 Royal Xbox version, as well as the version released on the Windows Store, will have all previously-released DLC bundled in.

You'll be able to enjoy all previously-released Persona 5 Royal DLC when it launches on Xbox and Windows Store later this year.

There are more than 40 pieces of Persona 5 Royal DLC, ranging from extra outfits and music all the way through to bonus Personas and item sets. Other than having these DLC packs available from the start, you're still getting the same definitive Persona 5 Royal experience, albeit one that might just be a little too familiar if you've played the game already. Strangely enough, Atlus doesn't make any mention of the PlayStation 5 or Steam releases for Persona 5 Royal, so we don't know if those versions will also come with all previously-available DLC. It's possible that when Atlus says "Windows", it's referring to the Steam port as well, but we can't be sure. It looks like we'll have to wait and see.

What is Persona 5 Royal and when is it coming to Xbox Game Pass?

Persona 5 Royal is an expanded version of the hit 2017 JRPG Persona 5. It originally launched for PS4 a little under three years after the original game's release and adds two new playable characters, expanded dungeons and other explorable areas, and a number of new gameplay mechanics. If you haven't played Persona 5 before, then this is arguably the best place to start, and since the game is heading to Xbox Game Pass later this year anyway, it won't hurt to give it a try, right?

If you're new to Persona 5, then you should definitely start with Royal.

Persona 5 Royal is coming to Xbox and PC on October 21st. It'll be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one. Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden are also on their way to Xbox and will also be available on Game Pass, although we don't have release dates for those yet. Naturally, we'll keep you posted, so stay tuned to TechRaptor for more Persona Xbox info.
