Michael de Plater, the vice president of Monolith, came on the PC Gaming Show to talk about Middle Earth: Shadow of War.
The game will be focusing more on story and characters. The goal is to have memorable and personal allies you work with and enemies to fight. You'll be able to face Sauron and the Witch-King, to give some examples. The nemesis system is also unique, allowing every demo to be different, and Monlith will be live streaming people playing the demo.
Plater then talked about Alterra, the Blade of Galahadriel, an all new character who is hunting down orcs and other evil. Plater then announced that the first DLC for Shadow of War will be titled Blade of Galahadriel and you will be playing as Altterra in it. They then showed a cutscene from the game that showed off Altterra talking to main character. Altterra manages to kill Talion (he walks it off, don't worry) and the two need to form an unlikely alliance to take down Sauron. Altterra also has the ability to see Celebrimbor, a unique ability no one else has really shown.
Middle Earth: Shadow of War will be releasing October 10th on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
