Impressively, it's been over eight years and Payday 2 is still ticking. Today, Overkill has released a new Payday 2 DLC in the form of Jiu Feng Smuggler Pack 3, and a new small update that fixes some issues and adds some descriptions to the game. The DLC includes three new guns, a scope that can be equipped to any Rifle or SMG, new Charms, and new Colors, which should give players something new to play around with.
Payday 2 has been pretty quiet recently, with the release of a public beta back in March to fix the weapon meta. Before that was Payday 2's drills (microtransactions) getting removed, which may have put a bit of a damper on players getting as much new content. Regardless, we have new content to talk about now, so let's get to it, shall we?
What's in the Payday 2 DLC and Payday 2 Update?
The three new guns included in the Jiu Feng Smuggler Pack 3 are the KS12 Urban Rifle, the RUS-12 Angry Tiger Revolver, and the Káng Arms Model 54 Pistol. The KS12 Urban Rifle is a compact Assault Rifle "with a lot of power", which shows in that you can convert the rifle into a single-fire shooter if required. There's an option for a custom muzzle breaker and the ability to choose between the Picantinny rails on top of the gun or on the carry handle to place your new scope. It also has one of the largest silencers in the game. Shhh.
The RUS-12 Angry Tiger Revolver is pretty angry. It's huge and can penetrate through any jacket with its armor-penetrating bullets and has an option for a custom wooden grip and a short barrel, along with a custom Stabilizer along the barrel.
The Káng Arms Model 54 Pistol can be used as just a single, lonely pistol or akimbo, so your pistol can have a friend to shoot things with. It may not look like much, but it comes with a small shotgun barrel so you can give enemies a nasty surprise if they come too close. You can use shotgun ammo along with Flechettes or AP Slugs. The pistols can also be equipped with extended magazines and barrel extenders.
There's also the Z5 Owl Glass Universal Scope that's like every other Rifle or SMG scope in the game, so be sure to try it out on everything you can.

As for what else is available in the patch, there's the Weapon Charms, with four available as part of the pack and two available for free to either members of a community group or via an achievement.
There's four different Weapon Colors available as well, so if you want to look snazzy and exclusive you'll have a few options to do so. Just remember that Jiu Feng doesn't come cheap, with the Jiu Feng Smuggler Pack 3 Payday 2 DLC available here for $3.99.
