Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is a game akin to Pathfinder: Kingmaker, both of which are CRPGs done in the classic Dungeons & Dragons style. It's not a direct sequel, mind, but you're sure to get much of the same gameplay that you enjoyed with this new title from Owlcat Games.
Owlcat Games had already launched a beta for its Kickstarter backers and slacker backers earlier this year, letting the lucky few fans who contributed to the game's early development get a first look at what they can expect to see later this year. Now, a second beta has launched for backers to enjoy and they can play it right now!
The second Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous beta will feature new side quests, a new weather effects system, balance fixes, a final UI design for "most in-game systems", and more according to a press release. As for the game itself, however, it looks like it's still going to be coming in Summer 2021 — albeit a bit later than you might have expected.
When is the Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Release Date?
The Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous release date will be September 2, 2021. That might seem like a delay since the game has been billed as coming out in "Summer 2021," but Summer doesn't technically end until later in the month. It's still coming out in the Summer — it's just arriving a bit closer to the end than you might have expected.
For now, Kickstarter backers and slacker backers have a new beta that can look forward to playing today! As for everyone else, you can add Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous to your wishlist on Steam or on DRM-free retailer GOG.
