Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous was released back in September, so players have been waiting quite a while for the first DLC release. Well, they won't have to wait much longer as Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous' first DLC, The Inevitable Excess, is launching on PC on February 15, 2022. The DLC takes place right before the moment of ultimate triumph: the victory over the Worldwound. Players will leave Golarian and use their built-up powers to defend the space-time continuum against a rapidly approaching collapse. The DLC will be part of the Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Season Pass as well as released separately on digital stores.
Players looking forward to playing the latest Pathfinder title on consoles will, unfortunately, have to wait a while longer. Originally announced to be released in Autumn 2021, it was moved to Spring 2022 and now Autumn 2022. The reason for this is simple: they wanted to make the best port they could while also addressing any issues that still remain on the PC edition. That makes sense to me, as while the second Pathfinder title launched a lot better off than the first, that's also not saying much as Kingmaker had a Bethesdian level of bugs at launch. Still, Kingmaker eventually got fixed up and Wrath of the Righteous launched in a much better state, so hopefully, those shenanigans are long behind Owlcat games.
If you've been looking for an excuse to get into Wrath of the Righteous, now might be a good time. It's currently 20% off on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store, and comes with a free DLC that includes a new pet that will help players succeed in all Knowledge and Lore skill checks, which sounds pretty handy to me.
