The Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous beta has arrived! This means that gamers can now enjoy an early look at Act 4, a new crafting mechanic, UI improvements, and more!
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is the second game in the Pathfinder RPG series. This follow-up to Pathfinder: Kingmaker has a lot of potential for you to build an awesome story — legions of demons, a mighty crusade, and all sorts of shenanigans in the shadows.
Your choices won't just affect your own gameplay — players will get to make choices for a "Community Quest" which will determine what happens in the game's final trailer. Check out the first Community Quest trailer to get hyped for the next great Pathfinder game!
What's New in the Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Beta?
The launch of the Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous beta means that new content has come to the game, too. Owlcat Games notes that there are so many changes that it's impractical to list absolutely all of them; however, the developer has picked out a few highlights.
To start, the game's UI has had an overhaul. This is still in development, though, so you should expect more changes to arrive as the game gets closed to its proper release. Some UI elements have not yet been updated to the newest system, either.
Also arriving is the ability to craft potions and scrolls while resting. You have to be careful, though — Worldwound is infested with demonic energies, and staying out in the wilds for too long is going to have detrimental effects on your party.
The beta also features the introduction of Act 4. This is an early release of the game's next Act and gamers should be reminded that they are prohibited from broadcasting any of this new content just yet.
"And, starting from this moment, you can stream Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous or create videos using the in-game footage up to Act 3," said Owlcat Games' Felix Mortheim in a Kickstarter Backer Update. "We are sure that there will be a lot of new faces streaming Pathfinder or creating content about it, which is so exciting!"
These are just some of the many things that are arriving in the new beta that also includes the launch of turn-based mode — check out the Backer Update for all of the details about what's new!
