The latest expansion for massively multiplayer ARPG Path of Exile has been announced. Path of Exile: Harvest will add a bunch of new stuff to the game and is coming to PC on June 19th. Console versions of the expansion will be available in the following week.

In Path of Exile: Harvest, you'll assist a new character called Oshabi in tending to a mysterious Sacred Grove. In so doing, you'll unlock powerful crafting options which developer Grinding Gear Games says are "unmatched by any past expansion". You'll achieve this by locating seed caches throughout the game. Once you've found a seed cache, you can take seeds to the Sacred Grove and grow them in order to gain the chance to battle powerful monsters. Slaying these monsters will grant you Lifeforce, which you can then use to grow exotic crops or enable powerful crafting options.

So what else is new in Path of Exile: Harvest?

According to Grinding Gear Games, there's a bunch more stuff on the way in the new expansion. Along with the new Seed system, you'll also get four new Warcry skills, as well as a new "Slam" skill category with its own corresponding skill and support gem. Grinding Gear is also promising gameplay rebalancing, improvements to unique items, and a passive skill tree revamp. Here's everything on its way to Harvest courtesy of Grinding Gear:

  • Download and play all content for free, but never pay-to-win
  • The Harvest Challenge League and its powerful crafting system
  • Four new Warcry skills and a rework of three existing ones
  • New 'Slam' skill category including a new Slam skill and support gem - revamps to existing slams
  • Dynamic rebalance to existing gameplay
  • Improvements to over 50 unique items as well as 12 new ones
  • A passive skill tree revamp
  • Delirium core game integration

Dark Souls changed my life, and I'm here to spread the good news. I like pretty much all sorts of games, but I judge everything by its proximity to our Lord and saviour, Dark Souls.
