The Parkitect release date has been announced and some details about the campaign have been revealed according to a news post on the game's Steam Community page.

Parkitect is a game in the vein of Rollercoaster Tycoon that tries to stay true to the spirit of the titles that inspired it. While bigger budget titles like Planet Coaster and RollerCoaster Tycoon World shot for the moon, Parkitect was focused more on being a smaller, more intimate title that stuck to the roots of the genre.

We now know the Parkitect release date thanks to a post from the developers. They also dropped an amusing trailer to accompany this news:

Aside from the reveal of the Parkitect release date, we've also been given some details about the campaign. It will consist of 26 scenarios in total. Players access each of the levels through a world map that expands and changes as you successfully complete the challenges put before you. The campaign's parks were designed by Silvarret and Joshua Tjarks, two gamers with a measure of experience in making things look nice.

The game's immediate future is going to be spent fixing any post-launch bugs that crop up. The development team will also be taking a measure of time off for the coming holiday season. It's completely understandable considering that the game released in May of 2016 and they've been working hard at it ever since.

Following a short period of hotfixes and family time, the developers intend on getting back to work creating more great content for Parkitect. They have plans for new features that will appeal to players who are focused on the management style of playing as well as the more creative types who simply enjoy making a pretty park.

Future updates will be released on a "when it's done" schedule, moving away from their previously regular updates. As with past changes, the updates to the game will be deployed to players for free.
