Eastshade is an upcoming game from the appropriately-named Eastshade Studios with a particularly calming theme and the Eastshade release date has just been announced.
If you've never head of Eastshade, well... that's not a big surprise. It's pretty new! Eastshade is a game that aims to have an overall calming atmosphere centered around the theme of painting. This has you unleashing your inner Bob Ross by traveling around the titular island community and learning about its inhabitants. A second official trailer for the game has also been revealed. Take a look to get a feel for Eastshade:
The Eastshade release date for PC has been pegged as February 13, 2019, according to a news post on the game's Steam Community page. Console gamers need not worry—the game will be coming to consoles as well at an unspecified later date.
The world of Eastshade was first conceived by ex-Sucker Punch dev Danny Weinbaum. After a few solid years in AAA gaming, he decided that he wanted to make his own game free of the stresses of deadlines. Mr. Weinbaum has invested the last five years into making Eastshade a reality.
Following the death of your mother, you travel to the island of Eastshade in order to capture its beautiful landscapes. Essentially, players will be going through a sort of "photo game" adventure similar to stuff like the classic Pokémon Snap. Plop down your easel, capture the scenery, and you'll have a painting in no time flat! The adventure bits of the game come in with what you do with the paintings. You'll be able to hand them off to residents in order to learn more about the world around you and explore the game's narrative. It sure sounds pretty neat!
The Eastshade release date is February 13, 2019, for PC gamers with a console release coming sometime after that. Unfortunately, we don't yet know what price the game will be launching at. For the moment, you can add the game to your wishlist on Steam. You can also follow the developer on Twitter and you can learn more about the game and its developer at its official website.
