The Overwatch Open, an online competition where European and North American teams can enter and show their skills for a chance at a prize pool of USD 300,000, have just announced their first official sponsor, ASUS Republic of Gamers. Over the course of the competition teams will go from qualifiers, to regional playoffs and then if they make it that far will be invited through to the Regional Finals. Overwatch Open began back in July and streams all of their content through FACEIT.
As part of this deal ASUS, as the official PC and monitor sponsor for the entire tournament, are going to be providing the gaming PCs and monitors for the Regional Finals and the Grand Finals. The Regional Finals for each of the different continents will be the 26-27th of September for North America and from the 28-29th for Europe. The Grand Finals will take place on the 1st of October.
