After a couple of months of misunderstanding the meta, playing a Genji deprived of any sort of healing, booping enemies into the giant hole of death and despair on Illios, and forgetting to move the payload on Eichenwalde, it is now time to count your blessings and reflect on the previous competitive season. As always, Blizzard Entertainment has some closing statements on the end of the season, as well as some predictions of what the future might hold.

Season 3 will officially end on Tuesday, February 21 at 4:00 p.m. PST (or Wednesday, February 22 at 00:00 UTC). Season 4 is currently scheduled to launch one week later on Tuesday, February 28 at 4:00 p.m. PST (or Wednesday, March 1 at 00:00 UTC).
If you want to find out when the season ends in your time zone, you can use this converter to figure out how long you have to try and gain just one more rank.

Everyone who has completed their assignment matches will be eligible for a reward. This reward takes the form of a special spray and player icon you cannot obtain via any other method. If you've managed to fight your way into the top 500 players of your region and platform, you will be awarded an additional player icon and a unique animated spray in addition to the other awards Blizzard has lined up for players who managed to perform well this season. The higher in the rankings you've managed to place yourself, the more Competitive Points will be awarded to you. These points will help you start out at a higher Skill Rating once the new season commences.

Blizzard had this to say about Season 3:

I've been playing games since I was just barely able to walk so I might as well write about them.
