Grab your favorite hero, and get ready to join in on the Battle for Olympus, as the latest seasonal update for Overwatch is right around the corner. This event will feature new and exclusive skins and reimagined hero abilities for a limited time.

The skins and cosmetic items heading our way in Overwatch 2 fit the theme "Battle For Olympus", giving us Greek God aesthetics drenched head to toe in gold. The skins are really cool, in my personal opinion, as they sport some of the most iconic Greek Gods from history such as Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. One of the Mythic Skins headed to the game is the Zeus Junker Queen, alongside two Legendary skins; Poseidon Ramattra and Hades Pharah.

On top of the skins, we get a new free-for-all map, where the aim of the game is to reign victorious over the opposition and take Olympus as your own. This new mode was kept under lock and key by Blizzard for some time, but the blog did give away some hints as to what we could expect from it. The devs stated,

"These heroes and several others will be imbued with awesome god-like powers in our new Battle for Olympus game mode."

Now for the burning question in our brains; How does one take home the victory in Olympus? Using new and reimagined hero abilities, of course. Zeus Junker Queen is capable to smite enemies with powerful lighting using the Commanding Shout ability. Hades Pharah will shoot three large rockets in succession, and Minotaur Reinhardt will charge enemies rapidly.

The Overwatch 2 Seasonal Event, Battle for Olympus, will be available starting on January 5, 2023, and ends on January 19, 2023. This gives players ample time to collect all of their favorite God-like cosmetic items before they disappear into the ether.
