Do you need something nice to cheer up your day? Maybe you should consider Kind Words (lo fi chill beats to write to), as it seems to have plenty of nice things being said in the game.
In an announcement on Steam, developer Popcanniblal has revealed that over 250,000 letters have been sent off in Kind Words since its Steam release on September 13th. In fact, he notes that in the time it took to make a 30-second looping .gif and make said announcement post, the number has already risen to 271,000. The developer notes that when he originally did a stress test for the game on a server, he did it with 60,000 fake messages and thought it was funny because he'd never get close to that. It seems the reception of the game has ended up surpassing his wildest dreams. He also promised that he was currently working on more stickers for players to collect in the game.
Originally released as the Humble Original as part of the July Humble Monthly, Kind Words was brought to Steam in September. The goal of the game is really simple: all you have to do is write kind letters to people who are currently suffering from some sort of hardship or problem. Along the way, you'll collect stickers and lo-fi beats that you can listen to while you write. Everyone who received the July Humble Monthly also received a steam key when it launched there in September. If you want to know more about the game you can read our full review here.
