PC Building Simulator, a game that is (unsurprisingly) about building personal computers, has sold over 100,000 copies according to a press release from the developer. Additionally, new parts have been added to the game according to a news post on the game's Steam Community page.
If you've ever been curious about what it takes to put together your own PC, look no further than PC Building Simulator, a game by Claudiu Kiss and The Irregular Corporation where you manage your own computer repair company. Players inherit the company from their uncle and subsequently must turn the business around by servicing the needs of the clientele. As players progress through the game, they'll unlock more complex jobs like diagnosing problems, upgrading computers to be more powerful, and even building brand new PCs to spec. The game has moved over 100,000 copies since its launch onto Steam Early Access on March 27, 2018, and has seen several updates in the short time it's been available on the digital distribution platform. The Irregular Corporation Producer Stuart Morton has called the community's response to the game "nothing short of phenomenal" and teased that there would be "plenty of new and exciting things to come for PC Building Simulator".
Speaking of new things, an update for the game went out today which added several new parts. A new case, three new power supplies, and two new coolers are now available as parts for players to use in both the career mode and sandbox building mode. These build on previous updates which added new parts and new features like dual GPU support.
Several hardware and software manufacturers have licensed their products for use in the game and additional companies may join at a later date. In the meantime, PC Building Simulator will be receiving several content updates over the coming months as it works towards its full release sometime later in 2018.
