Everyone knows who Blizzard is in the gaming world.

When people think Blizzard games, or any games for that matter, they usually imagine someone sitting alone in a dark room, not leaving their computer chair for hours at a time. It’s okay, we’ve all been there! Well, that is the mold that Blizzard is trying to break with an event for one of their newest games, Hearthstone. Hearthstone is a "fast-paced strategy card game", and since its release, many players have been turning to it for fun with their friends; it’s competitive, it's fast, and to get the basics, it's pretty easy!

Blizzard has come up with an idea to get their players out of those dark little rooms and into the sunlight and community by coming up with an idea called Fireside Gatherings.

On April 26th an on, (for a limited time) take yourself and 2 or more of your friends to a local coffee shop, book store, or favorite spot on campus and connect up to the same subnet! All of your matches for the gathering should be played with one of your friends or someone close to you on the same subnet.

“But I don’t want to get out of the house! I can play with my friends just fine while in the comfort of my own home. Why do I need to get out into the world and play?” Ah ha, I’m glad you asked! With the above mentioned criteria in mind, play three games, and you get a new “Fireside Friends” card back to go straight onto your deck! Who doesn’t like rare trinkets and bragging rights?

The card back will be ready for the taking on April 26th but will only be available for a certain number of days so make sure to do your Fireside Gathering soon before time runs out! To look for events that might be hosted in your area, head on over to Blizzard’s site and take a peek!
