As part of their big 25th-anniversary celebration, Pokemon has teamed up with OREO to release a limited-edition run of their cookies. These OREO Pokemon cookies feature sixteen unique designs depicting various Pokemon from the franchise.

Announced this morning with a trailer animated entirely through dot art with each dot being an OREO cookie, this partnership is Oreo's first-ever "cookie rarity scheme." Each pack of Pokemon OREOs is filled at random and features 16 unique designs featuring some of the most beloved Pokemon. However, just like in the games, certain Pokemon designs are rarer than others, with Mew being the rarest of all. In addition, the Venice Beach Boardwalk in Los Angeles will feature an art installation that uses 8,000 3D replicas of the cookies on a mural to create a larger-than-life Pikachu design. It'll be displayed from September 7th to October 3rd. If you can't make it, the OREO social channels will provide updates and a final reveal.

The full list of Pokemon you can find on these OREO Pokemon cookies include:

  • Bulbasaur
  • Charmander
  • Cyndaquil
  • Dratini
  • Grookey
  • Jigglypuff
  • Lapras
  • Mew (the rarest of the designs)
  • Pancham
  • Pikachu
  • Piplup
  • Rowley
  • Sableye
  • Sandshrew
  • Snivy
  • Squirtle

As for other Pokemon 25th-anniversary excitement, the first episode of Pokemon Evolutions goes live tomorrow. In addition, work on the Pokemon 25 album is still going, with the most recently announced artist being Mabel McVey.

The Pokemon OREOs can currently be pre-ordered on oreo.com, they'll release on September 13th, and they'll be available "while supplies last." Meanwhile, the OREO art installation will be on display from September 7th to October 3rd, and will be appearing on OREO's Instagram page.
