Roll7, the creators of the hit side-scrolling skateboarding game OlliOlli have announced the release date for its sequel OlliOlli2 as March 3 in the US and March 4 in Europe.
The full title, OlliOlli2 Welcome to Olliewood will have a number of gameplay improvements over the first one. It will add manuals, reverts, revert manuals and grind switching allowing for a more complex combo system. Along with 5 news worlds and new challenges there will also be a 4 player split screen local multiplayer mode.
A quote from the Roll7 website reads "Our iconic ‘skater’ is going all green-screen and getting radical at Olliwood Studios, plucking the player from the street and dropping him squarely in the middle of the Big Screen’s most bodacious cinematic locations."
The first OlliOllie was a surprise hit and was even nominated for a BAFTA.
OllieOllie2 is expected out on March 3 in the US and March 4 in Europe on the PS4 and PSVita. There is also a trailer highlighting the changes to the sequel.
