Night School Studio has announced that the long-awaited OlliOlli World Oxenfree crossover has arrived in the form of the OlliOlli World's new Void Riders DLC that released around a month ago. Turns out that the OlliOlli World Oxenfree crossover was teased about a month ago in a Twitter post as embedded Morse code. It's pretty sneaky; probably too sneaky, as developer Roll7 officially announced the Oxenfree crossover via press release today. If you want to play the crossover, simply use the postcode MV32FR33 to access the new content in OliiOlli World.
What exactly is the OlliOlli World Oxenfree crossover?
For those who don't know, OlliOlli World's Void Riders DLC has steezy extraterrestrials, Sair’Rah, Khehvyn, and Pftangxi, have arrived in Radlandia and are looking to acquire skater specimens for the Nebulord. Players find themselves abducted by aliens, but they won't have to go through this alone, as they'll be joined by a familiar face in the form of Alex from Oxenfree. Players can dress as Alex while they kickflip through the DLC's levels, and there's also a new remix of scntfc’s “Beacon Beach”, the Nikitch Dubby edit.
Easter eggs like this have been included in video games for many years now. From the Cow Level in Diablo 2 to the beating heart in GTA IV, there's a ton of good ones that developers have snuck in under the noses of gamers.
One of the most interesting recent ones was an original Xbox Easter egg that remained undetected within its dashboard for nearly 20 years. The Easter egg is just a list of members from the "Xbox Dashboard Team", but it's still pretty cool. There's also apparently still another Xbox Easter egg out there to discover, so eventually, you'll probably see another article about the original Xbox on the front page of TechRaptor and wonder if you've stepped back in time a few decades.
