On Cyber Monday this year the Microsoft Store was running $100 Gift Card bonus offers on the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift VR headsets, making the first "deals" of the year on both virtual reality system. Since then both VR systems have been in decent demand but without any extra incentives to buy. Thankfully, Microsoft has gone ahead and brought back to the $100 Gift Code promotion on both headsets.
While a discount would have been nicer to see, this is probably as good as we'll see an offer on the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift before Christmas arrives.
You'll need to act fast if you want them delivered by Christmas. They're shipping free in 3-7 business days too, so just to be sure you may already want to bump shipping up to 3-4 business days for an extra $4.99 (relatively small potatoes when you're throwing down this much anyway). Other shipping options include 2-3 business days for $9.99 and 1-2 business days for $16.99. These are not terrible rates compared to most retailers like Amazon.This offer was originally part of Microsoft's "12 Days of Deals" and was a 1-day offer back on December 13th. Since then the deal has continued on, which means it could continue through the weekend or expire at any time.
