Octopath Traveler, a JRPG currently exclusive to Nintendo Switch, appears to be coming to PC. The game has been given a rating by the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea for a pc version. Trying to access the original rating now results in an error message, however, so it's possible the rating could have been mistakenly filed.
According to Gematsu, the rating listed Bandai Namco as a publisher. This wouldn't be unusual given that Bandai Namco routinely publishes Square Enix titles in Korea. It doesn't state whether Bandai Namco would publish the game internationally on PC, although one suspects Square Enix would handle Western publishing duties itself. Since the listing has since disappeared, it's not possible to see what the Korean rating board gave Octopath Traveler. The ESRB rating for the Switch version is Teen, so an American PC version would likely carry the same rating. If you're interested, the ESRB's content descriptors are "blood, fantasy violence, mild language, suggestive themes, use of alcohol".
Octopath Traveler was originally released for Nintendo Switch in July 2018. The game is a turn-based RPG developed by Square Enix alongside fellow Japanese company Acquire. Players control eight adventurers, each of whom has a unique skill. Each character begins their adventure in a different location, meeting up at a certain point in the story. Octopath Traveler proved popular on release, shipping one million copies worldwide within a month and was quite well received by TechRaptor.
Square Enix recently announced a mobile Octopath Traveler prequel titled Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, which will be released in Japan in 2019 for Android and iOS devices. Set several years before the events of the original game, it will transpose the turn based battles and RPG gameplay of Octopath to mobile devices. Players will be able to choose between three different stories and can make progress through each story whenever they choose.
