Ubisoft has announced that The Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake will not be shown at E3, and that while great progress has been made, it's not ready to be shown yet. Basically, it's not going to be at Ubisoft Forward (unlike Rainbow Six Extraction) and that they want us to be patient as they keep working on it. Makes sense, and you'd hope that the reason delayed re-announcement is due to the fact that they're significantly improving the remake, compared to what was seen last time.. I mean... look at this trailer.

As for the latest announcement, check it out below:

Prince of Persia Delay Text

This news comes on the heels of the game being delayed in February 2021 from its March 2021 release date to "a later date". Originally it was announced in September 2020 for a January 2021 release date, before it was delayed to March 2021 to whenever "a later date" means. Basically, it's coming whenever Ubisoft deems it ready, which is good, because from the trailer it needed a lot more time in the oven.

Ubisoft announces Rainbow Six Extraction

As for Rainbow Six, The next title in the Rainbow Six franchise is called Rainbow Six Extraction, and it will be fully revealed on June 12 at 12pm PDT at Ubisoft Forward. Formerly known as Rainbow Six Quarantine, and for a while discussed online as Rainbow Six Parasite, Extraction is the official new name for the co-op-focused title inspired by Rainbow Six Siege's Outbreak mode. Check out the teaser below:

Quick Take

Now that Ubisoft looks like they're giving at least one shit about Prince of Persia, I hope they give the Sands of Time remake the love an attention it deserves. It was a solid and underrated series in the 2000's, and this time around I'm old enough to actually play through it properly. We'll have to see, because while this news is promising (at least as an indication for how much care they're putting into the game now), it doesn't mean anything until the game is fully released.

What do you think of this news? Did you play the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time? If you have/haven't, are you going to play the Remake? Let us know in the comments!

A very unflattering picture of my tired face.
