If you were hoping for The Walking Dead game Season 5, you're going to be disappointed: Skybound Games has said that they aren't currently working on a new season to continue Telltale's adventure, and it doesn't look likely that they will.
"Thank you to the fans who have reached out in recent days!" Skybound Games said in a tweet. "While we wholeheartedly appreciate your enthusiasm for Telltale's TWD, we currently have no plans for a Season 5."
The state of the series was in limbo for several months before Skybound Games picked up the rights. Eventually, they completed the tetralogy by releasing The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series.
Will We Ever See The Walking Dead Game Season 5?
Although Skybound Games has said that there won't be a Season 5 of Telltale's The Walking Dead, that doesn't mean that it will never continue. The Walking Dead continues to be a popular IP, and we may see them make the decision to revive the franchise at the later point.
Clementine's story has concluded nicely, though, and it seems a bit unlikely that we would jump right into more adventures with her. There are nonetheless plenty of avenues for players to explore such as a potential side story featuring one of the other characters as we saw with Michonne.\
In any case, any future The Walking Dead adventure games are unlikely, at least for the immediate future. For now, you can pick up all of the games in one bundle at the Epic Games Store for the price of $49.99 or your regional equivalent.
