NISA held their annual press event recently and revealed a whole bunch of information about games that will be coming to western audiences. Announcements included information about Grand Kingdom, Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness, Stranger of Sword City and more. There was even a little teaser for a possible localization of a certain delinquent Japanese dungeon crawler.

One of the publishers most popular franchises, Disgaea, was part of the lineup. Disgaea PC will be releasing February 24th on Steam for Windows. But of course, we all knew about that so NISA followed up with more interesting news.

Grand Kingdom will be released on June 21st in the US with voice acting in both Japanese and English. Creator Tomohiko Deguchi made an appearance at the event and the first playable build of the English version of the game was shown. The website for the game has been updated and there is a new trailer for the tactical RPG introducing characters, showing off the gameplay and the dual voice acting the title will feature as well.

It was also announced at the event that publisher NISA will be bringing Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness to western audiences by late 2016. The game will be available for PS4, PS Vita and Steam but not Xbox One. Taking place during the first season of the anime Mandatory Happiness will fill in more of the futuristic universe’s backstory as players  choose between two new detectives to solve cases and make game altering decisions.

The release date for Stranger of Sword City has been pushed back to April. The Japanese Vita game will be available April 26th in North America and April 29th in Europe as both a digital and physical release. While the release date has unfortunately been delayed it has been confirmed that the dark fantasy game will have two different in-game art styles players can choose between.

Also coming later this year is shoot ‘em up Touhou Genso Rondo. Set in the Touhou universe, Genso Rondo is a remastered version of the original Japanese PC release. The game will be available on PS4 as a digital download in North America and Europe. Featuring customizable combat options, powerful abilities and spells this beautiful bullet hell brings a unique take on the genre.

Rounding out the roster of foreign games coming to the west 2016 is Yomawari: Night Alone. It may have a cutesy aesthetic but this isometric survival horror game looks rather creepy. Coming to PS Vita later this year Yomawari features stealth mechanics and a frightening open world to explore.

At the end of NIS America’s press event was a teaser for Criminal Girls 2. An obvious silhouette of the girls from the game appeared along with the line “. . .don’t do anything Criminal. . .” leaving little doubt that NISA have plans to localize the somewhat controversial dungeon crawler with young semi-sinners in need of rehabilitation. Criminal Girls 2 was released in November for Vita in Japan. Criminal Girls: Invite Only will be coming to PC in April.

The event presented a lineup of interesting games NISA will be bringing to western audiences soon. For more details on the upcoming releases check the NIS America website as time grows closer to release dates.
