Nippon Ichi Software has announced a new action RPG, Your Four Knight Princess Training Story for PS4, Vita and Switch. With only a smattering of details revealed in Famitsu Weekly and reported by Gematsu, the latest action RPG from NIS is set to release on January 25th, 2018. More information is set to come out on October 19th, when Famitsu Weekly's issue fully releases. What we know now is that the Switch and PS4 versions will run 6980 yen, with the Vita version coming in at 5980 yen. Madoka Hanashiro of Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 will be doing character designs, with the staff behind Penny-Pinching Princess handling development.
Your Four Knight Princess Training Story was previously teased by NIS via a website, which looks set to get updated yet again later this week. From what we know now, Your Four Knight Princess Training Story will be an action RPG, with the players acting as a knight, guiding the princesses. The knight will command soldiers, as well as fight alongside the princesses in battle. Additionally, players will be able to either "Praise" or "Scold" the princess, affecting stats and growth either positively or negatively, depending on the situation. There will be four princesses to raise, each with their own story:
- Veronica (VA: Hiromi Igarashi), a young, incredibly intelligent witch who aims to control the world with fear.
- Liliati (VA: Ayane Sakura), the kingdom's head knight, and a princess who loves her people.
- Monmaria (VA: Larissa Takeda Tago), a princess from the Eudalia merchant family, fallen from grace who has survived only through her businesses.
- Alpana (VA: Yuuki Kuwahara), the princess of the "Dragon God Clan." She aims for coexistence between all races.
