Good news for fans of samurai and hard action games. Nioh 2 now has a release date of March 13th, 2020, and an open beta will be starting for free today.
Additionally, you can now pre-order the game. If you do so then you'll get a good chunk of goodies, such as a set of demon weapons to help you slay demons, and a charm that will assist you in battle. You'll also get a special PlayStation 4 theme if you want your PlayStation 4's home screen to look as Nioh-ey as possible. There's also a $79.99 version of Nioh 2, which will include the season pass. There's currently no word on what exactly the season pass will include, but it promises three story-based DLC chapters.
A new trailer has been put out for the game as well, giving you a chance to check out some of the new mechanics, like the ability to turn into a demon. It also showcases some of the new items and weapons you'll get a chance to use.
If you want to try the game out for free, an open beta will be running from November 1st to the 10th. The beta will let you try the character creator, some of the new weapons, and an early stage. Finish the stage, and you'll even get a special item that you can bring over to the full game. For a bit of fun, if you happened to have Nioh saved data on your PlayStation 4, then you can play the game as William, the main character from the first game.
Nioh 2 will be launching exclusively on PlayStation 4 on March 13th, 2020.
