Nioh 2 is on its way to PC and PS5. The Nioh 2 Complete Edition will pack in the base game and all three DLC expansions and will launch on February 21st next year. A remastered version of the original Nioh is also on its way to PS5.

What can we expect from the Nioh 2 PC release?

According to Koei Tecmo, the Nioh 2 PC release will feature support for 144Hz and HDR monitors, as well as full 4K resolution support and a consistent 120fps frame rate if your system is beefy enough. Nioh 2 on PC will also have full keyboard and mouse support with the ability to customize key bindings. If you're more of a conventional samurai, you can still play it with a gamepad on PC, of course. On PS5, Sony says the game will support 4K and will run "at framerates up to 120fps". You can check out the trailer for Nioh 2 Complete Edition right here:

If you have Nioh 2 on PS4 already, you'll be upgraded to Nioh 2 Remastered on PlayStation 5 at no additional cost. That also goes for any Nioh 2 DLC packs you currently own. Similarly, if you purchase Nioh 2 Complete Edition on PS4, you'll be upgraded to the PS5 version of the game for free (if you have a PS5, of course). You'll also be able to transfer your Nioh 2 save from PS4 to PS5, allowing you to continue your adventure where you left off. It's worth bearing in mind that you can't purchase Nioh 2 separately from its DLC packs on PS5. Instead, only the Complete Edition will be available if you don't already own Nioh 2 on PS4.

We also have a release date for the third and final Nioh 2 DLC pack. The First Samurai will launch for PS4 on December 17th. It'll take you back to the past as a Visitor, allowing you to experience "the truth behind the first samurai", according to Sony. As you might expect from Nioh 2, you'll get to face off against some of the most formidable enemies and challenges the game has to offer. The DLC also launches along with an added difficulty level that should give you a workout even if you're familiar with the game.

When is the original Nioh coming to PS5?

Along with Nioh 2 Complete Edition, a remastered version of the original Nioh is also headed to PS5. It'll pack in the base game plus all DLC and will support 4K resolution at up to 120fps. Just like Nioh 2, owning the original Nioh on PS4 will grant you full access to the game on PS5 at no extra cost, along with all the DLC you own for the game. You can also transfer your save file across from the PS4 version.

Nioh 2 Complete Edition lands on PC and PS5 on February 21st next year. You can also look forward to Nioh Complete Edition hitting PS5 on that date.
