Pokémon Puzzle League

Pokemon Puzzle League will arrive for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members on July 15th, with the 1-2 player puzzler giving more analytically minded Pokemon fans out there something new to try. After all, this game isn't really something many people have heard of, let alone played, which makes it an interesting addition to the Nintendo Switch Online service.

Players will join Ash, Brock, and Misty and more characters from the Pokemon animated series as they gather in Puzzle Village and compete for the title of Pokemon Puzzle Master. And given that Ash is on a quest to be the best Pokemon trainer that ever was, becoming a Pokemon Puzzle Master would definitely be another feather in his cap. Players will advance through levels by beating the game's trainers and gym leaders, just like in mainstream Pokemon titles like Pokemon Yellow.

This marks about a month in between the last Pokemon game added to Nintendo Switch Online , with Pokemon Snap, a more known but still relatively niche Pokemon title, arriving to the service last month. While this probably won't tip anyone over the edge, it might add more value to the service for those who are on the outside looking in. Mario Kart 8 DLC, Paper Mario, and other DLC from notable Nintendo Switch exclusives will continue to entice Nintendo fans to plop down the $79.99 for a year's subscription to everything that the service has to offer. Games like Pokemon Snap and Pokemon Puzzle League are just the cherries on top.
