Later on today a Nintendo Direct has been planned to show off more information about ARMs and Splatoons 2 but it seems that something else is in the works from Nintendo in the form of a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle edition for the Nintendo Switch. This leak comes from the Russian Nintendo Store website where they listed images of the bundle, a price, and a description.
The bundle will simply include the Nintendo Switch console (in both Grey and Neon variants) and will include the new Mario Kart 8 Deluxe that is set to be released on the 28th of April. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a version of the Wii U's Mario Kart 8 with all of the game's DLC included. Other new features include new racers, new tracks, and even the return of the battle mode with a variety of battle modes to play with your friends.
Since the leak was first spotted and pointed out to Nintendo fans over on Reddit user razorbeamz one of the moderators of r/NintendoSwitch has stickied a comment to the top of the post stating "The mod team has confirmed that this is true. Please be aware that it may be limited to certain territories."
At the moment on the Nintendo store page, the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle is currently listed for 24,999 rubles while purchasing the console itself costs 22,499 rubles. This difference of 2,500 rubles converts to roughly $43, if the bundle is released in the west this could mean a discounted bundle price of $20. Be warned if you attempt to access the Russian Nintendo store site that you will need either a Russian VPN or a Russian Proxy site to be able to view it.
There is no word yet from Nintendo when this bundle will be released, or even the regions that this bundle will be available in but it could be a good sign for those who are still having difficulties finding Nintendo Switch's in stock to purchase.
What do you think of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Nintendo Switch Bundle? Are you thinking about getting one if it becomes available?
