I'm honestly not impressed with how the Paper Mario series has been going since the transition to the Wii and 3DS consoles. I played Paper Mario: Star Sticker, and really didn't enjoy it. Since Paper Mario: Color Splash seems to be drawing inspiration from the last title in the franchise, I'm already on the fence as to whether I should get it. What gameplay footage I've seen hasn't changed my mind on the matter. Perry's editorial really sums up my thoughts and feelings on this game, from what we have available to use at this point. I'll wait for more gameplay footage to surface before I make a final decision on it, but to me, this title just looks like filler that Nintendo needed for their yearly Mario title.
