Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Direct presentation. It's airing tomorrow and it'll focus on Switch games due to launch in the first half of 2022, according to Nintendo. We're getting around 40 minutes of information.

What can we expect from this new Nintendo Direct presentation?

The presentation will air tomorrow and will be Nintendo's first major Direct not focused around a specific game since September last year. Speaking via Twitter, Nintendo says the presentation will "mainly" focus on Switch games launching in 2022, but that means we could also be getting some release dates or new announcements as well. The last major Nintendo Direct gave us reveals for new games in the KirbyFinal Fantasy, and Splatoon franchises, so we can expect this one to contain some big news as well.

Could we finally be getting that long-awaited Bayonetta 3 release date in tomorrow's Nintendo Direct?

There are a few candidates for potential reveals during tomorrow's presentation. We could finally get that long-awaited Bayonetta 3 release date after a Nintendo website leaked its 2022 release window last year. Other games ostensibly due to launch in 2022 include Splatoon 3 and Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, which was delayed to 2022 last year. Of course, we're all also hoping for a Breath of the Wild 2 release date after Nintendo teased a 2022 window for it in 2021.

When can you watch tomorrow's Nintendo Direct?

Be sure to add this time to your calendar if you're interested: tomorrow's Nintendo Direct airs at 2pm Pacific (that's 5pm Eastern), and as ever, you can watch it on the official Nintendo YouTube channel. The stream will last around 40 minutes, which is plenty of time to cram in some news we're expecting and some announcements we're not. Hey, Nintendo, now would be a great time to finally lift the lid on Metroid Prime 4, since Metroid Dread has been performing so well.

After Metroid Dread performed so well, tomorrow's Nintendo Direct could be a great time for Nintendo to reveal Metroid Prime 4 in earnest.

We've come a long way since the very first Nintendo Direct all the way back in 2011. That presentation was just under eight minutes and featured the incorrigible Reggie Fils-Aime telling us all about upcoming Wii and 3DS titles. Games Nintendo showed off at that presentation included The Legend of Zelda: Skyward SwordMario Kart 7, and Super Mario 3D Land, to name but a few. Here's hoping we get to see some equally big names during tomorrow's presentation.
