Today, Nintendo held two Nintendo Direct presentations back-to-back: a Partner Showcase and an Indie World event. Here are all of the announcements and reveals from both events!
Nintendo Direct Indie World August 2024 - all the announcements
First, let's start with the Indie World show. Here's everything you need to know from that show!
Balatro's big crossover adventure
Hugely successful indie poker roguelike Balatro is getting a whole bunch of crossovers. The Witcher, Vampire Survivors, Dave the Diver, and Among Us all made an appearance.
Neva is very much a new game from the Gris folks
The creators of Gris are working on a new game, Neva, which sees you teaming up with a young wolf cub to navigate a very artsy-looking world full of shadows. It's coming to Switch on October 15th.
Moth Kubit plonks you into an insect bureaucracy
In this surreal RPG, you play as Moth, a worker in a labyrinthine insect bureaucracy who must uncover a sinister conspiracy while also meeting with some very unique characters. This one's heading to Switch next spring.
Coffee Talk Tokyo is a spinoff set in - you guessed it - Tokyo
Cozy coffee shop sim Coffee Talk is getting a spinoff set in Tokyo, and it'll bring the same sort of cute vibes and chilled-out gameplay you've come to expect. You can play it on Switch next year.
DLC sizzle reel time!
Next, we get to see some upcoming DLC for existing games. We get to see Sea of Stars' Throes of the Watchmaker DLC (coming spring 2025) and PowerWash Simulator's Shrek DLC (arriving this fall).
Morsels is a "grungy" card-based shootin' roguelike
The first ever trailer for Annapurna and developer Furcula's grungy roguelike Morsels is up next, and if you like crunchy pixels, you'll love this. Strong Nuclear Throne energy to this one. It's coming to Switch in February.
Date Everything! lets you, well, date everything
It's now time for a look at Team17's inanimate object dating sim Date Everything!. You might not be able to date literally everything, but the game comes pretty darn close. It hits Switch on October 24th.
Peglin's "fun and physics-y" goblin adventure comes to Switch
Imagine a cross between Peggle and goblins. Got that in your head? That's pretty much what Peglin looks like. It's a casual puzzle game roguelike with turn-based battling, and it's heading to Switch as a timed exclusive later today.
Wacky life sim RPG Wobbly Life looks fun
If you like Human: Fall Flat and Fantasy Life and wish they could merge together...well, that's weird, but Wobbly Life is for you, and you can play it on Switch in December.
Pico Park 2 features jolly co-operation
Have you played Pico Park? Want more of it? Well, naturally, Pico Park 2 is for you. It features more co-op challenges and lots of different mechanics, so collect your friends and put your friendships to the test later today.

Next up, it's time for a recap of everything we saw in the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase. Here we go!
Tetris' 40th anniversary gets its own compilation
To celebrate 40 years of Tetris, a new Tetris compilation is being released, packing in a whole bunch of old-school Tetris games (plus a brand new one) for all the tetrominoes you could hope for. It hits Switch later this year, and the NES version is coming to Switch Online in winter.
Star Overdrive is a "high-speed sci-fi adventure"
Dear Villagers showed off a new open-world-looking sci-fi adventure called Star Overdrive, which features truly radical-looking board traversal, melee combat, and Zelda-style puzzles. You can play it as a timed exclusive on Switch next year.
Goat Simulator 3 is coming to Switch
Yep. Goat Simulator 3, the hi-lariously wacky sandbox adventure from Coffee Stain, is coming to Nintendo Switch in all its goatly glory. The Switch gets its goat on later today, and a physical version's coming in November.

A new SpongeBob sandbox adventure in which you play as Patrick was revealed during today's show. With plenty of varied tasks to complete, SpongeBob characters to meet, and more, this one looks fun. It's heading to Switch on October 4th.
Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer wants to help you get fit
A new Fitness Boxing game is heading to Switch, and it's got new workout features and brand new exercise-friendly songs to help you get fitter. This one boxes its way to Switch on December 5th.
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 wants to take you for another ride
Eight retro Capcom fighting games are coming to Switch as part of this brand new collection. Between Capcom crossover games, Street Fighter classics, and even the Dreamcast's Power Stone, there's plenty here for fighting aficionados. It hits Switch next year.
Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is also heading to the Switch in September.
Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land arrives next year
Another improbably-titled Atelier adventure is coming to Switch sometime early next year, and it looks exactly like what you'd expect from the series; lots of highfalutin storytelling, a wondrous land to explore, and more.
Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars arrives in March
That name's a real mouthful, isn't it? Remasters of the first two Suikoden games were announced almost two years ago, and today, we learned they're heading to Switch on March 6th.
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake sure does look pretty
It's a quick look at Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake next, and it sure does look nice with Square Enix's signature HD-2D style. As we know, this one's coming on November 14th.
Castlevania Dominus Collection resurrects three classics
Now this is what I'm talking about. The three Castlevania DS adventures - that's Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia - are getting Switch re-releases later today, along with arcade classic Haunted Castle.
Sid Meier's Civilization VII hits Switch in February
As was announced during last week's Gamescom show, Civilization VII is coming in February, and it's coming to Switch as well. We got to see some of the game in action during today's show.
Tales of Graces f Remastered celebrates the series' 30th anniversary in January
If you're a big fan of the Tales JRPG series, you'll appreciate this one. Tales of Graces f is getting a remaster, complete with new destination icons, the ability to toggle battles, and more. It comes to Switch on January 17th.
MySims Cozy Bundle is a cute take on The Sims
The Sims meets Animal Crossing probably isn't the perfect pitch for MySims Cozy Bundle, but it's not a million miles off either. You'll be able to play two remastered MySims games on Switch on November 19th.
Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2 jumpscares its way to Switch this holiday
As if the Switch couldn't get spooky enough, Nintendo announced that Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2 is making its way to Switch this holiday season. Not only that, but Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach is getting some free DLC, too.

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is a new "fresh take" on the series
Promising a "bigger adventure than ever before", Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma sees you dancing and using sacred objects to help grow crops, revitalize the land, and restore Azuma to its former glory.
There's also a community of NPCs to meet, lots of monsters to fight, and a beautiful anime-inspired world to explore. Guardians of Azuma comes to Switch in spring 2025.
Yakuza Kiwami brings Kiryu and Majima to Switch
Lastly, it's time for Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima to make their way to the Switch, as Yakuza Kiwami arrives on Nintendo's console on October 24th. Interestingly enough, it hasn't been renamed to Like a Dragon Kiwami in keeping with the series' name change.
