Rejoice, Rune Factory fans, you're getting spoiled. Rune Factory 5 is in development, according to today's Nintendo Direct. Not only that, but Rune Factory 4 is headed to the Switch with Rune Factory 4 Special.
Rune Factory 4 Special is headed to the Nintendo Switch later this year as well. It's a essentially a combination of Harvest Moon's farming and living mechanics as well as old-school dungeon crawling mechanics. There's fishing, farming, marriage, and even combat! It is, according to the video, "fully remastered for the Nintendo Switch." There are likely to be more features than the original, so be sure to look out for more information on this game.

We don't know anything about Rune Factory 5 other than that it is in fact in development but it's certain to have similar gameplay features as previous entries in the series, and could be coming this year as well.
